A pair that are as well-respected and critically acclaimed as they are unconventional and forward-thinking, Danger Mouse and MF Doom are two of contemporary hip-hop’s most distinct voices. As Dangerdoom, the two filtered their unique styles through their mutual love of Adult Swim, Cartoon Network’s popular late night animation network and created The Mouse and The Mask.

The album, which was released in October of 2005 by Epitaph Records in association with Adult Swim, is unlike anything people have heard before.

Grounded by Danger Mouse’s inventive beats and Doom’s madcap rhymes, The Mouse and The Mask features guest features from marquee rappers such as Ghostface, Cee-lo and Talib Kweli as well as skits and voice-over from the characters of Adult Swim's most popular original shows, including Aqua Teen Hunger Force, Sealab 2021 and Harvey Birdman, Attorney at Law.

Danger Mouse has made a name for himself as one of music's most influential and innovative artists.  His breakthrough work, The Grey Album, an ingenious re-production of Jay-Z's Black Album with the Beatles' White Album, was named Entertainment Weekly’s Album Of The Yearin 2004 and was hailed as a watershed moment in modern music.  Following his success with The Grey Album, Danger Mouse went on to produce Gorillaz Demon Days album, which sold more than seven copies worldwide and included the Grammy Award-winning anthem “Feel Good Inc”. Never one to stand still, Danger Mouse’s next project is Gnarls Barkley, a collaboration with the flamboyant hip-hop figurehead/soul crooner Cee-Lo.

After a five-year hiatus that ended in 1998, former KMD member Zev Love X reemerged as MF DOOM, a persona inspired by the comic supervillain Dr. Doom. Upon his return, the newly invigorated Doom released Operation: Doomsday and Mmm...Food to great acclaim In 2004, he continued to push his music forward and unleashed Madvillain under the MF Doom moniker and Venomous Villain under the name Victor Vaughn. Both were regarded as groundbreaking works and received critical praise from publications ranging from Spin, Rolling Stone and Vibe to The New Yorker. Since then, Doom has been involved in a number of collaborations with the industry's finest and is currently working on a project with Ghostface Killah of the Wu-Tang Clan.
